This urchin was stealing one of my corals. He was walking away with it like I wouldn't notice :tongue1:

Being that he diden't pay for it, I took it away from him.

I actually find it extremely comical.

It is pretty amazing how much they can cram on their little sphericalselves.

Though I do save the conch snails when the urchin decides to relocate them. We only have 3 of those snails and it never fails that those are the ones the urchin pics up for a ride. I wonder if he charges? lol

I do know that that urchin stole that coral again and carried it to the back of the tank, where it is dark. I will have to go searching for it when the lights come on, I hope this doesen't become a re aquascaping job again
I am not going to put the TV on in this room anymore, I think he watches too much
CSI

This is an inherent part of all urchins behavior. It is instinct to decorate themselves which serves as camouflage from predators. As a matter of fact all books I have researched about urchins have stated this is a possibility. The urchin is acting instinctively and there is nothing wrong with that.

I know you are just playing but I got one RB from a newer member asking about this thread. So there should be some fact thrown in here to avoid misinforming anyone who may in fact look to this thread for actual fact.

The fact that urchins are excons?? :tongue1: Sorry... I couldn't resist

Truth be told I don't think that urchins are for the uppidity tank types, every rock in place no stone unturned types.. I like a bit of chaos in my life as well as my tank, they go perfectly:lol:.

On a serious not... as per usual B you were right on in your reply with actual information regarding the antics of the urchin. :) Something that everyone planning on getting one should know.

For any Noobs, don't come to this thread to find out any "actual" information.

After saying that I would like to state that I did have an urchin collection business where I collected them using SCUBA, (me, not the urchins)
The name of my company is "Urchin Searchin Enterprize"
I collected hundreds of the little inconsiderate little, well, urchins.

I now have an agreement with the urchin in my tank. He can carry the coral but he has to carry him in the light in the daytime, at night, I don't really care where he carries it as long as he stays in the tank :lol_large
