A friend of mine was in a bad car accident last night. She was driving too fast and hit a tree. Her heart stopped and was partially collapsed. She some how was brought back with a collapsed heart and under went reconstructive heart surgery this morning. She had a second surgery not long after that to stop internal bleeding. She is now in ICU in an induced coma hooked up to a machine that is breathing for her. The doctors are not sure if she will have brain damage because of the lack of oxygen when her heart stopped. She is only 27 years old.

I was in a car accident because of excessive speed but I got very lucky unlike my friend Sara. Please, please, please don't drive fast!!! It is not worth it. All of my friends got a wake up call that no one ever wants to get. Please send your love for Sara. It is a miracle she is still alive, but the full damage won't be know until she wakes up.

Thanks everyone. It was really heart breaking seeing her like that today. What was even harder was not being able to do anything about it. I can't wait for her to open her eyes and start talking.

Best wishes to your friend, may you, her family and friends gain peace of mind in light of such tragic circumstances. There are no words to express how much sorrow comes from such a sudden tragic experience. You all will be in our thoughts.
