I've had no luck at all this season....always the same story- "should have been here the day before"...I've been going out in Cutchogue, where I have a summer place. 2 weeks ago the tide line was covered in bunker scales...when I went, nothing. This weekend the best I could do was a small blue that spit the hook at the shoreline...OK, as I would have released it anyway...did me a favor. Went at night with bunker chunks for bass....not a tap. Oh well.......

We took a trip on the Super Speedy Express out of Captree on Saturday night from 7-11p. Two Stripers were brought on and 100+ blues. Lil' man had a blast!! Who am I kidding... I did too. Between the three of us we caught over 20 fish... fun fun fun!! :bablefish

My charter had 18 keeper bass to 22lbs, a 14lb weakfish, and about a dozen blues on my morning trip.
I've been chartering day/night since April 15th. It has been a truly exceptional season in Jamaica Bay both for big bass and quantity of them.

Insane fishing right now out of fire island. In the inlet there getting stripers, blues, and fluke. In a bit more from kisma reef to ocean beach are producing some nice weakfish. The tide is what makes the bite. Gotta be on the right tide.
