PA is probably the way to go. Or NH. But it's still not legal here in NY though. You could play out there. Provided it's on someone's backyard that allows you I think.

I went the other year to PA and bought a truck load of fireworks. I was scared as shyt but i got AWESOME stuff for dirt prices. CT doesnt allow "aerial" fireworks. PA allows all. But now my question is they claim you need a "permit" on the website to buy fireworks from PA. Anyone know if this is new? or did i never notice? cause last time i went, i just showed them my ID, they photocopied it and let me in; and i went on my merry little way shopping for fireworks like it was food lol

DOnt laugh.....get wired Brillos or steel wool.. stretch out a hangar and hook the brillo to the hangar....light the brillo/steel wool on FIRE and swing it vertically

Where did you learn that trick? were you in a confined space?lol.

The PA fireworks thing is weird. You can not purchase them if you live in PA but you can buy them if you live out of state. They are still illegal in NY so becareful, the store in PA is great though. I stopped there a few years ago and got mortars and all kinds of rockets, the have less explosive stuff as well.

:sigh:

All fireworks are illegal in NY.

If you get caught transporting them over state lines (The Troopers are watching the state lines this time of year) you will have problems.

For a nice show of fireworks, drive to the end of soundview/ whiteplains by the water on July 4th. There are some retired cops who are allowed to have fire works that make a nice show every year. Its also by the water so you get to see all the "illegal fireworks" coming from Queens and Manhattan aswell.:shhh:

As you get close to the July 4th weekend they WILL do it. Either way, if you have a headlight out, forget to signal or speeding, even if you have a flat tire and get approached in NY by a POLICE OFFICER and they find them, you're in a sheet load of trouble. That is unless you have a permit to do so and are a professional fireworks display person.

Chief is right. Here in Orange County, we border with Pike County, PA. The state troopers will have somebody sitting undercover outside The Phantom Fireworks store in Matamoras PA; they will radio the troopers sitting on the NY side with your cars make, model and license plate.

I miss the late 80's / early 90's were the cops weren't so strict about fireworks. Some people used to put on a great show. I realize how dangerous they are.

Ah yes the good old days! My old Brooklyn neighborhood looked like warzone.Explosions and stuff flying everywhere. It was fun but also dangerous.
Looking back now as a Dad I'm glad it's not like that now!
Wow that was hard to type with missing fingers :lol2: J/K
Your Better off leaving it to the pyrotechnic experts and you being a spectator:D
