I didn't watch at all today, but I read some of the things said which I can't get over.

Magic Johnson said Michael Jackson made him a better basketball player.

Al Sharpton said Michael Jackson helped Obama get elected.

I know that you don't want to bash a dead person, but this is a little far fetched.

I am in total agreement with you...... I don't get it.

Chief, I though he was only accused but never convicted???
It seems you made up your mind already. I'm not saying I know the answer but I could understand how it is possible to make accusations about someone as famous as Michael for monetary gain.

He donated 300mil to charities. That alone is worthy of a memorial service no matter who you are. I don't understand why you guys are being so harsh towards someone who helped so many people. Yes Michael looked like a freak, and the media coverage gets annoying, but does he deserve the disrespect after death?:(

I personally am a fan...and had tickets to go to London and see him. Somehow people show up in droves to see this man, despite everything.
Broke records for albums sold...changed lives... Haven't heard much about R Kelly or Roman Polanksi lately and one has video footage and the other was charged and then fleeted the country. I'm pretty sure Jerry Lee Lewis and Chuck Berry had some issues as well...and Michael was never convicted of anything.
Everyone is entitled to their opinions...just like the people who dropped off their kids at a 40 y/o man's playground.

I will be happy when I dont here about him or Sara Palin. The first post sums it up. What I do not understand is why we revere some one who sings and dances more than we honor those who lose their lives fighting for this country, or people who make this country a better place everyday? Mutliple soldiers have died in the past few days but you barely hear about it, they deserve a memorial service, not a singing/dancer who slept in beds with kidds who were not his and paid one of them 22 million to be quiet about what he did, disgusting.

I have no idea of his motives for donating money, nor do you.

btw, he was also a song writer. But that's just a technicality.
