Advice for for time home owners

Thank you everyone for all of your advice. It is looking like I need about another year or so before I can afford something I will be happy with in a good LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION !!!

i have a fairly good job here but am considering maybe its a good idea to leave the state being I am young(24) but I have to admit I am a little chicken of the thought of leaving everything I know here behind me.

any input? I know I know no one knows me better than me. Just felt like getting other peoples opinions.
