Moving? North Carolina and why?

If its not you it's someone you know that is moving there. Where exactly are they moving to?(location/city/town...ect)

For the people who are staying what are your reasons and for the people that are moving there what are your reasons for going? or is it as simple as just the money?

For the people who know someone. Are they happy that they made the move?

alot of ny'ers seem to be going to sc, around myrtle beach, main reason is same house here is a 1\3 the price there, as well as tax's arent crap down there, myself being from the mid-west is where i will eventually be going back to

My family all moved to Myrtle Beach they all love it with the exception that everyone and everything is slower, they said that took some getting used to. But they are glad they dont have to shovel snow anymore and they got alot more house for their money.

Money and a huge house for 230,00 Me and wife are going next week to look at houseS i will take some pics for you been there 2 times dont ever want to come back to ny after staying there

i just moved back to NC...it's where i grew up.

we moved back because houses are cheap, public schools are good, taxes are low, and the baby's grandparents live here.

Alot of New Yorkers have moved to the Charlotte Area because of the banking jobs...But that business isnt exactly booming these days.

I live in Raleigh because I am in the Pharmaceutical/Biotech industry. Lots of companies come here because taxes are low and no union workers.

wait till a major hurracaine hits in that area, then that's when things change. i know i lived most of my life in south louisiana.

I don't think I could handle the NASCAR factor if I moved down there.

Wife's family moved down there, they love it because "the malls are cleans and the landscaping they do around them is great."

Her aunt and uncle love it, the kids hate it. I have been down there twice to visit, it's not for me.

The banking jobs in NY / NJ are far better than the jobs in Charlotte. Most of the jobs offered down there are back office type positions.
