One forward, three back

...and thats on a good day. No matter how hard I try to get out I just slip back down to the bottom. For example, my bills and payment schedule was way out of whack due to unexpeded finances for the past 5 months. So the month that I am finally able to get everything back in order and actually be able to start tackling some of this debt, my dopey 1 year old dog decides to run around on the wet lawn and hurt her leg. The vet thinks she tore her ACL and will require a $1500 surgery that I can't afford. I've already paid $400 in two vet visits. Why can't I just get a chance to get out of this hole? Why?

i feel you man. i was on the brink of finally getting back into the hobby after two years. i get this guy on the phone selling a 75g and then the misses starts screaming about the bills. i said ok fine i can't get my tank right! so no more visits to the bakery and fast food places beacause there are too many bills to pay.

Tell me about it.

Just as we were finally getting ahead. I get a nice letter yesterday from the mortgage company about a projected escrow shortage for 2010. Now I have to pay an extra $400 month in escrow.

I'm still confused about how that happened. In the past it's only gone up $50-100 a year. One year it it even went down $10. I need to make a few phone calls and see where the ball was dropped.
