Brownout in Manhattan

We just had a brownout around 8:30pm here in Washington Heights. All the lights went off. Now I hear crazy sirens, I wonder if something blew up. Did anyone else in Manhattan get a brownout? This is the first one I can recall happening.

Not Manhattan, I lost power last night for about an hour over here in Bergen County. Always happens somewhere first super hot day of the summer everyone is cranking the A/c and energy consumption goes way up.

Could be crazy lighting i am seeing on my way home from the city. My friend is driving up the west side highway near dyckman and all i can see is crazy streaks of lighting flashing every few seconds.
