I currently have a toliet made by CASE MFG. and the flow/refill valve is leaking. I've look online to purchase the part, but the CASE toilets are not common, and i think is not made any more. THe replacement parts are almost $200. My question is should i buy the new parts, or should i replace the toliet with one from homedepot? also is the waste location line the same for all toilets?

thanks for any info.

Case Toilet parts

Another Case in point ;)

Is the Case toilet wall mount or floor mount? That will be the most important factor in determining whether the drain flange will line up with a new toilet. From the specs that I've read, the Case toilets all seem to be 12" o/c from the finished wall to the center of the drain flange. Most current day toilets are also 12", so you should be good to go if your Case is floor mounted. Wall mounted, and you'll need to take out a tape measure and find out for sure.

If you decide to replace the toilet make sure to measure the distance from the back wall to the center of the bolts that secure the toilet to the floor(waste location). You will need that measurement. I forget what that is called at the moment, but without it you may end up with a toilet that will not fit.

it's floor mounted. I will measure the dist. from the wall to the bolt. What's the standard distance for an american standard toilet. I'm not planning to get a high end unit, i just want a replacement.
