Anatomy of a Boat Delivery

This summer I bought a new boat. The problem was that my marina is on the north shore of Long Island and the boat was on the south shore. I sailed it around with only a few problems.
My closest friend, and fellow Captain Richie, is in the Coast Guard Auxiliary and he brought the boat around with me. He published an article about the journey in the Coast Guard publication.
There are some pictures of the East River and Manhattan.

Manhasset Bay Marina, do you recognize it?

Here are some pictures from that trip that may not have been in the article.
This is the East River, which is a salt water estuary and not a river at all. Manhattan is on the left and Queens NY on the right. This area is called Hells Gate because of the currents.

I probably did say sail, I mistakenly say "sail" sometimes when I mean cruise.
To sail that trip would have taken a week.
I just got back from Montauk, I stayed the weekend and collected some crystal clear, cold water which I am heating now.
