I've wanted to work in the city since I moved down here from upstate, but haven't had the opportunity yet. (not to mention I got job offers on the island so I took them.)
Part of the attraction to the city is that I can take the train and won't have to drive and deal with traffic/crazy drivers/my own sleepiness (lol).
My question is; how do you like taking the train as opposed to driving to work? To me it's worth it but I'd like to hear some advice/input from others.
Obvious downsides are the fact that I won't be 'by myself' and the overall commute times. For me it's about 1/2 hour - 40 mins to Penn station, and if I work down on the southern side of the city that time would double.
Right now I drive about 30 minutes to work and about 40 - 60 mins home, depending on traffic or weather.
Thanks.
