So i been laid off again and im sick of people offering me 11-12 dollars a hour to do the same job i was doing for more then 20 a hour as a service manager. i dont mind a pay cut i understand but come on. i wanted to get out of auto for years but the money was always good.if i am going to work for 11-12 dollars a hour i am starting a new career.is there any pet stores wholesalers ect.looking for help?please let me know THANK YOU JOE

you only made $20 an hr as a service manager ? wasn't a dealership was it. i hate the industry as well, as i am in autobody, but it's a paycheck, and i have worked most fields in the automotive industry. i wouldnt take a pay cut, especially that much to have a job i was happier at, actually i went from a service manager making less into this line again making 20k more a yr
sorry about being laid off...anyways, i work for Amtrak - been here 5 years, I admit i do close to nothing and get paid a very good salary......... they are always hiring.

Im a Bmw tech and I have to say its getting harder & harder to make Hrs these days. The auto industry is pretty bad for all makes. Foreign & domestic alike. Sorry to hear of your misfortune. But something good is most likely going to come out of this, seeing how you were considering other options. I to am trying to look into a career change and if I were to lose my job tomorrow, I dont think I would be too upset. But Im not quite ready to leave of my own free will yet. Good luck guy.
