this car i have had since a junior in hs, it was my first car and it has been in my family since brand new, my grand father bought it in 1988 as the 1989 model. it is a 1989 nissan sentra 2 door sedan. it all started when i got the car after my abuelo past away and i was left with an automatic slow nissan sentra witha good body. well i decided i wanted to go faster so i began looking for an engine. the car came with a 1.5 12valve engine. and was carburated. so i decide to look for an engine, i changed the car from auto to 5 speed and put 1.6 16 valve mpfi engine in it from a 94 sentra, fuel injected. it was faster but no enough, so i went to work again and bought a 4 puck racing clutch, a little faster but still not there where i wanted it. first turbo attempt was fast but a failure. but as of today the car has been dyno tuned with 550cc injectors and put down a beautiful 377 whp, 310 wtq. the injectors arent even maxed out at all. i still have more power to go but i only have a 2 step msd, so i need to go with msd individual coils for each cylinder to have more spark. to burn more fuel. i have a little sleeper car that looks slow. everything was done by me and tuned by me and a friend who owns a pro shop in nj.

was it me? what color was it? i built one for a guy in pottstown. he hit me up on cardomain and payed me 3000 and brought me the car and parts and i did it for him. he ran12.3 on a 1/4 mile before he payed me, and that was on a simple 230 hp setup. with 310cc injectors and a ser maf.

Prob wasn't. This one was gray with front mount and if it ran a 12.3 it would have killed me. I have a mossed 1.8t jetta. I can only do high 13s
I also raced him in reading pa

the one i did was brown, the one i have is grey, but i was over there in october when i went to show the guy my car and how it ran. it was a good built and i have good times with my car. i love hondas, when they think they got u and then everyone is entertained by my stickers on the back and on the rear quarter panel, that the only place i put my stickers so everyone behind me is entertained when i win. lol

Nice project....

I've had plenty of project cars myself primarily VWs and Audis. Worked with tuning companies with the devolopment of turbos and supercharger kits.

I miss those days.

nice project!!

looks like fun. I want to build a street car again!!

I build Turbo Hondas. My current build should be done in a few weeks and should make a lil under 1000whp.

But by far a 250whp-400whp car is wayyyyy more useful and enjoyable.

Do you race at Atco or Englishtown at all?

island drag way. up rt 80. what shop u work for? that was my main goal but i i want a treet car not a funny car, and i want to be able to drive every other day with out over heating. and the hp i got out of it is impressive comsidering it is a 1.6. a b16 cant hold that much on stock piston rods. i have spent $$$ on this project and built everything on my own, including the port for the head, i didnt polish so the air can enter with turbulence for more hp. the only thing i didnt do was the cut crank, i sent it to my friend ed to do it for me, he has a machine shop in his basement. my goal is was 500 hp, but i tuned it with no muffler pipe so now i have to retune when i put new piping and muffler in. and then i will aim for 500hp. im going to use 2 1/2" pipe all the way back and a stock chevy colbolt ss muffler. the car is a beast already and i cant even throw third gear on a three block straight away. rpm is set a 8000, and peak boost is a 6500 rpm. i boost 16 psi and is a beast to much than i can handle, and imagine at 20 psi.

no offence to anyone but i hate hondas, thats why i built this, to shut some honda guys up. alot of the honda guys are now buying sentras, ser's and b13, b14 and swapping sr20det into them, me the motors they take out of their cars i put in mine and still beat them. with a car that weighs 1200 lb stripped out, shoot, who needs a bigger engine, with 200 hp i used to pass evrybody on a roll or straight 1/4 mile race. ahh the good ole days of avenue p in newark

lmao@ i hate Honda guys? (bad experience?)
I'm kool. I go to Island now n then. It's just too much Hills to tow my car over (i tow with my CRV lol).. Plus Island has a realllllly short shutdown when you're trapping 150+mph.

No offence but a FWD Nissan will never be as fast as a FWD Honda. (boosted or N/A).

I'm sponsored by Xenocron (Chris Harris tunes my cars). But everything else i do myself . Doing things yourself puts more worth into your project. Not tomention it cuts the cost and if anything goes wrong, more than likely you'll know right off the bat what it is because you did it. lol

we'll see i didnt say i hate honda guys i said i hate hondas, i had one and lost $1000 on a race when i was 18, the piece of crap broke on me, ls vtec with a t28 disco potato and a fmic. i junked the car, i brought it to garden state metal on rt 46, they gave me $600 and they crushed it with engine and all. so they say. i think every mechanic now a days started with a honda. the fastest time i ran with an engine i built was 11.24 with a lsvtec and it was on a civic that i built for a friend and im a fat guy, we got kicked out for no roll cage. omg. and the car dynoed at 238 hp at 10lb boost. it had slicks and all. im hoping my sentra will run 10s if not bottle will go on too.:Up_to_som then i can reach my goal. nothing a 100 shot of nitrous cant fix lol. i dont hate honda guys, i hate the way some of them act, u know, pretending they are unstoppable.
