Haiti Crisis

Just wanted to acknowledge the great devastation in Haiti as a result of the earthquake. A poor, struggling country where deaths are likely to be in the tens of thousands, huge infrastructural damage, people still buried under rubble, makeshift tents as hospitals, no electricity, water... It's a terrible situation. My heart and my prayers go out to them.

I have been meaning to post this but got sidetracked. Don't just feel bad, do something about it. I am donating here.

This organization is the real deal, a couple of my friends used to work for Paul Farmer, he is an amazing man. Research the organization and then after you know it is legit, donate. This organization knows Haiti very well and are the most respected doctors (many from Harvard Med and other top hospitals) in the country. There is a Pulitzer prize winning book on Farmer's clinic in Haiti called "Mountains Beyond Mountains." which I suggest reading if you have time. Anyway, my thoughts are with the people of Haiti and I have already donated once and will likely do it again once the paycheck comes in in 2 days.

I feel bad for what happenned and sometimes i feel bad buying $40 corals knowing that some of the people there make $40 in a month. I have donated $100 i know its not alot but I think it can go a long way. God bless them

God bless those poor people. The lack of food and water with no air control tower to direct the incoming/outgoing air traffic for aid and relief efforts makes the situation grave. Prayers and donation sent.

isnt it great to have a president act so swiftly in a time of need.i bet it would have been the same results if he was reading a story to a classroom.just want to say i am not a very religious man but i am praying for all the people of haiti.please donate whatever you can.we are talking about 1% of the human popualtion.
