im not saying to lift the whale up high.you can pick it up inches from the surface and swing it out.1 ton whale can be easily picked with a 350 or a 500 without any tipping factors.plus even lets say it dies from hurting its internal organs so it better then watching it die on the beach without doing anything

You would also have to get a harness under it, straps would probably cut right into it.and how would you get under the whale? And a crane on inclined sand is rough if that thing started to flop. The boom needed in length to reach out far enough would be rough. You couldn't just walk right up to it and pick it. That thing looks like it ways more than a ton. I would use a tug oat and rope its tail pull it out gentle, but then you have to get the rope off its tail. and the possibility of drowning it when pulling it backwards.

they reported that they cannot do anything for the whale because it is separated from its mother and it needs to feed on its mother's milk in order to survive.

i would rather see it take its chances out in the ocean than waiting on it to pass on the beach

thye are planning on euthenizing the whale.and yes i know a thing or 2 about rigging and cranes.we have put a 300 ton crane in dirt before.with the right footing like steel plates it can be done.and the 300 cranes have all wheel drive so getting down the beach shouldnt be a problem.even if it was theree are removable padding you can lay down to get the crane into position.
