Cable boxes

as we all know we cant just hard wire cable to a tv and have the basic channels anymore.is there a converter box i could buy to still get those channels.i dont mean just 2 4 5 7 9 and 11 i want the basic cable channels or do i have to rent another cable box.i already have 4 boxes and really dont want another 10 dollars added to my bill.

nope sorry basic cable requires the same addressable digital box as a premium package , you cant even get free cable anymore cause of these new digital boxes, analog was the best thing..... i hate ppv

Nope but you can always get things like a Roku or Boxee... and watch streaming shows...
I have a Roku and its the best $100 I spent.
I can watch news, tech stuff, movies...
