I will be breaking my tank down tomorrow. I am forced to move from my condo on Rockaway Beach. The place is destroyed. The entire boardwalk is gone......crashed into homes and washed everywhere. Fires and destruction everywhere. I don't even have pavement anymore. I'm going to put my corals in Psuedo's tank and drain the tank. Hopefully I can set it up again in a few months. The tank is running on battery backups and battery operated air pumps for now :(.
This is an f-ing nightmare :(

Thanks Randy. Hopefully Kasei doesn't kill all my stuff. He's kind of rusty ;)

A few quick pics of Rockaway Beach. The boardwalk belongs on the concert pillars. I live in the yellow condos with the boardwalk smashed on them. All plumbing, heating, and electrical destroyed.

I just came back from Coney Island/seagate helping out my inlaws. The amount of destruction the water did just amazes me. There was 4' of water in their backyard last night at high tide and they are on higher ground 5 blocks away from the beach. The damage from the houses all through seagate is astounding and the houses on the water are pretty much destroyed. My wifes aunts house which was on the beach in seagate is now missing the first floor.

I feel terrible for anyone having to deal with the mess and destruction that sandy brought in. Really bad stuff going on right now to anyone near the ocean. Heres a few pics of the street right off the beach.

By the way, all that sand on the ground was scooped up and piled on the side of the road when we were leaving, looked like piles of sandy snow on the sides of the road. Was a little surreal.

Those pics are crazy..... Wow. Does anyone have pics of Long Beach or Nickerson, specifically? I wonder what Nickerson looks like especially. Lots of sand but it's very flat......

Seeing so many trees falling over last 3 years and killing people, I should ask DEP to trim the one in front of my house and the rest of the block. Just to remind you, one big trunk fell and broke my brick gate while another large branch of the tree next to it became a javelin and pierce thru my neighbour's ceiling during the tri-tornadoes event. 2 trees within 3 blocks radius actually have killed couple neighbors in their cars and houses from the Tri-tornadoes to Irene period.

we had asked the township of howell (jerkoffs) if we could have the trees cut down in our backyard because they are so tall and could do alot of damage to our house if they fall towards my house the township said no but thankgod they did not uproot and fall but i think i may have to cut em down just in case and say they broke during the storm...
