I tried to take a pic of the worm I found in my tank with my digital camera - no much luck. It came out of focus. I need to identify the sneky hitchhiker?
What do I need to to get this picture work?
Thank you!

Try macro setting and stablize you camera (tripod or something else). Don't try and hold it in you hands, too mush vibrations will blurr the pic.

At least that is what Pedro told me when I asked a similar question...see I paid attention. :tongue1:

I don't think I have macro setting in my menu... What is it and where can it be found?

On most cameras its a flower icon like this:

I don't know yet... It looks absolutely insignificant - just a pinkish little worm. I incidentaly discovered two - one quiclkly withdrew into the live rock, the other I caught and moved to the QT with the intention of ID-ing him.

Besides making sure the camera is steady, you need to know what the focusing range is. If exceeed this, the cam cannot focus. For example, let's say they say from 1" to infinity. Well if you try to focus at 3/4" it will be blurry. You can pick up cheap close up filters for point and shoot cameras that will allow you to get closer.
