Simply superb! Excellent!

Did you use a strobe? Great detail, i like the nudi one. They seem to be very common around gorgonians, i think they eat them.

Got any more?

Thanks all! glad you like looking at them as much as I like taking them :)

No frags accidentally fell into my pockets, but there were some tempting zoos and a really sweet encrusting coral with wicked orange polyps (pic below) that caught my eye.

Pedro - these are just using the internal flash, haven't sprung for a strobe yet. However, the new Inon external lens adapter I got is blocking the flash more than I expected, which is what is causing the shading on the right side of some of the macro shots, especially the slate pencil urchin below and file clam from the first post. Hoping to get a strobe before the next trip :wink1:

Here's a few more...

More amazing shots. Thanks for allowing us to live vicariously through your lens. That trigger is magnificent. Anyone know what type it is?

swimmer

it's an adult stoplight parrotfish. the juveniles are a cool black/white/red pattern

T

correction: i think it is a male stoplight parrotfish, and the females are black/white/red. it's past my bedtime :D

Those are awsome shots.
Those are protected reefs(the only living barier reefs in the us),and people are not allowed to bring anything up with them not even a sea shell.

Wow, those are some of the best diving pictures I've seen on MR. Nice. The picture of the wheel looking thing, is that an aircraft engine or something? Really nice pictures.

Great shots! Man I wish I could spring for a new camera, that is some fantastic quality!

Can anyone identify that bristle worm in the 1st set of pics? Is it the bad kind that begins w/ 'Hem...'

I had that exact worm in my tank (my rocks are from around that area) and it seriously destroyed my softies in my tank until I caught it in the morning one day!
