I have been messing around with this camera now for weeks and I have gotten some really good macro shots with it but I can't seem to get the same quality as some other macros I have seen with this camera. I got it just for it's ability to take macros from a very close range. If anyone can help me out with this or PM me with some tips or possible upgrades for it I would appreciate it.

Tips:

CLEAN YOUR GLASS INSIDE AND OUT! I can't tell you how much it makes a difference.

Turn off all your pumps. Less water movement = less blur
Lights:
Turn off the room lights, Block out reflections as much as possible.

Tripod: USE IT. End of statement.

Now, when you take a pic, make sure the camera is parallel with the glass. any angled shots will look really stretched and wierd. Good for art, bad for tank shots.

The closer to the glass, the better the picture will be. The less water that's between the lens and the subject the better.

Lastly,
Practice, practice, practice.

I've been taking a lot of shots and messing with the settings but was just hoping someone knew specific settings that would help maybe. I'll try and post some shots I have taken (on a slightly lower setting since the max is too big lol).
