After I photographed kedd's tank under 14K bulbs, two days later he switched back to 10K's. I wanted to go back and shoot the tank with the new lights, and this past weekend I got the time to visit Kedd.

No mater what light is used Kedds tank is going to look good ;)

I'm torn,but 14k's browned out some of the corals in a week.
My next change is going to be actinic VHO's instead of the T-5's with the 10k's.
Just a touch more blue.

On your 180 I would use 3 on an IC660

If you use an IC metal halide ballast with a SE 10k XM, 2 VHO's would be fine to offset the color. IMO a lot of guys lose the color of VHO's because they place them too high. Mount them as close to the water as possible.

Kedd, I guess you tank hasn't changed much beside the growth and color, huh.. lol

Clean and awesome looking tank, just like the last time i've seen it!!!
