Rich, it's the same aquascape.
FWIW, not all is well in my tank. My purple acro with white polyps (a personal favorite) retracted it's polyps about 3 days ago. Now the tissue is melting away from it at the tips... never seen this before, don't know why it's happening.
The coral Mike came over to help me retrive looks bad.
I've still got this one spot in my tank where things will not grow up... only out. I can't figure that one out either.

for those interested: Luminarc minis with SE 250w 10,000k. Reeflux on the middle (pic 1) and XM (pic 2) on the ends. All on Icecap MH ballasts. Actinics are 4 foot 54 watt t-5s ran on Icecap Dynamic T-5 Ballast and Icecap reflectors. 1 UV Lighting super actinic for blues and 1 Coralvue actinic for reds.

I like the combo of the coralvue and UV lighting bulbs as well as the fact that running these 2 bulbs costs the same as running 1 4 foot VHO.

Thanks Dave. I can't say all that... wish I could though. I'll admit, I've come a long way since I let my nutrients go to crap over the summer, but I still gotta get that POP.

chris's tank is 1 of the very 1st very nice sps tanks that i saw.
have u try moving purple acro with white polyps lower with less current.
my theory is when sps grows out but not up, i think it does not want to get burn from the strong lighting. i find this behavior with plants too.
also when they start growing a huge base is when the flow is very strong.
