New Camera for Christmas...My first attempt.

Hi everyone,

I just got a Canon Digital Rebel xti and Tamron 90mm f2.8 Macro lense for xmas.

I am new to SLR photography so here is the best of my first attempts at macro shots. Taken w/ a tripod using the timer function. Image was resized, no cropping.

Tips and suggestions welcome!

pics look nice, im hoping to get a rebel myself (well, for my fiance, same difference lol), I used to have one a few years ago, and hoping to start up my tank soon also so hope to keep track of my progress. hope they come out looking this good

I got the same camera a year back. Also I got Sigma 28-300mm lens. WHat mode do you use? Auto or Manual? If manual what is the setting you used for the above pic?

i used the auto on most of those pics...i may have changed the ISO a bit on a few...I am very new at this...

I would like to pick up a book if anyone has any suggestions.

Very Nice macro... like the last pic ... I myself just got that Xti but using the lens that comes with it...have fun and keep taking nice pics
