Hey guys,
Sorry if this is in the wrong forum, but the devil made me do it (that and the lack of traffic in the Equipment Forum  )

I've done the research and counted my pennies and now I'm ready to break down and purchase a Canon Powershot A80. So, now I'm looking for some recommendations on the best place to purchase either online or storefront.

I've seen good deals online, but not sure of how reputable some of these shops can be. Also, didn't know if it was better just to bite the bullet and spend the extra cash locally. If so what stores do you guys recommend going to locally?

Thanks for the help!

How about I copy it to that forum as well? :)

www.bhphoto.com isn't the cheapest place around, but they've got an incredible selection and more importantly, service that is faultless. They will never try to bait-and-switch you and handle returns with grace (so long as it follows their return policy).

Buydig.com is usually pretty cheap and I've used them a few times with good success. BH is easier to deal with, but it's up to you if you're willing to pay the small premium.

MPsuperstore is the last store I've used, although very limited experience. They're the cheapest of the bunch and IME are trustworthy and reputable. I've never had to deal with problems so I don't know how well they handle customer service. Product did arrive in stated conditions without hassle.

I'd go to far as saying (almost) all of my camera stuff came from b&h. --except my canon s400, it came from www.jandr.com because I could get it that day (b&h was out of them) and it was $50 cheaper than b&h. You might want to call someone on at J&R, and see what kind of price they can do for you. I got a $30 pricebreak just for asking. . .
