Hi all,

I am looking to upgrade to a digital SLR in the near future, with the Nikon D70 or Canon EOS-300D being the prime runners, or possibly a used Nikon D100 if one could be had. I have these cameras laying around my house that use something called film(?) that I have some decent lenses for, so which digital they actually fit, if any, will influence my purchasing decision. What's the best way to check compatibility with the lenses? Go to a camera store and try them out?

Thanks,
Dave

Most manufacturers are smart enough to not re-design lenses they've spent money designing before. SO, that being said, Most modern (last 10 years or so) lenses will fit whatever maker's Digital SLR's.

I've got canon EOS lenses from my 35mm days that will fit a 300d no problem. Nikon lenses will do the same. if they're the new autofocus lenses, they'll fit a digital Nikon.

Check out the info at www.bandhphotovideo.com it's where I get all my camera stuff.
