it is a 75 gallon. it is 4 months old, so far so good, i have a 30 gallon sump under with a pm skimmer, uv, 4x55 power compacts, i hope it is not just beginners luck but have only lost 1 coral so far.
Keep in mind that a UV will kill bacteria, algae, spores (some), but it doesn't take much away from their nutritional value... it will certainly affect their reproduction in the tank, but the actual particles can still be consumed (until they settle and settle/decompose). I've seen many tanks with both UV and/or ozone running that function quite well...
