Because I got this, (the most amazing best colored coral supreme of my life) today.

1) No the picture is not photoshopped other than to adjust light and contrast as well as reducing picture quality for this site.

2) No it is not dyed and yes it is real.

Our LFS has been getting a string of those in lately too!!! I drool all the time. How much did yours run? The ones here are in the mid $50s if I remember right.

I traded some frags to Steve Tyree a long time ago to get one these babies. He sold a whole bunch of them for ....... guess how much.

























$500 a pop! One guy bought 3 of them. Crazy, huh?

That's why I was happy like a midget on stilts when I got this one. One of my LFS's sells them for $80.00

How hardy and light-needy are they?

They are just the same as any plate coral. The more light you give them = the more colorful they will be. Also, if you feed them alot they seem to maintain thier color as well and don't rely to much on lighting.

I've been seeing a lot of these lately also. Must be the new fad in corals. They kind of remine me of a sand dollar because of the shape. Nice color though. Colorful tank too.
