Wow nice summary. You left the blanquillo off your fish list:)

2 things stand out to me:

1) your skimmer is quite modest compared to what many others are running on far smaller tanks.
2) your lighting is also comparatively modest... many run the same on far smaller tanks.

Can't believe I forgot the most annoying fish in the tank. He is going nuts digging up the sand.

The skimmer and lights are what I had on my 180G tank, but without the lumenarc reflectors. After my experience with the Penn State tank which is 8ft long and uses 4 400 MH in Lumenarc refletors, I felt that going with 3 on my 7ft tank with some creative aquascaping, it would be enough light.

I have a larger skimmer in the works, but with my friend who is doing the work ending up with twins... has brought the skimmer project to a crawl. Now after using the ETS 5ft skimmier modified with a beckett, for almost 6 months I am begining to wonder if I do need a bigger skimmer.

Part of my goal with this tank was to try to keep the electrical costs as close to the old 180G tank I had. I should compute the numbers to see how close I came (excluding the chiller which did not run all winter and may only be needed in June-Aug).
