"We used them to do experiments. One of the experiments was an isopod race. We wanted to see which isopod could run the fastest and which one was the slowest. We used chalk to make a small circle and a larger one around it on our lanai. There were four different racing circles. Then we placed four to five isopods in each of the the small circle by using a paper funnel. When we lifted the the funnels, we observed to see which isopod went out of the larger circle the fastest." Isopod Races by Amanda and Alicia.
I have seen them kept in several public aquariums, including the Shedd Aquarium.
Now which pods are the one's that'll suck the blood out of fish (or humans if given the chance)? I think this one would pretty much suck you dry if it's the type!
