Advice on camera and equipment

I am shooting a Canon Eos A2E and have a varety of lenses for it. All are Canon Ultrasonics and I have a vertical grip and a fancy Canon flash. The flash is all computerized and syncs with the camera, etc. I am not all that familiar with the equipment as it was an inheritance from my great-uncle. The mnual does a limited job of explaining the various functions and what not. I am wanting a good macro lens so that I can get some fine detail shots. This camera has been great so far in everything else that I have pointed it at. Do the Canon digital SLRs use the same Ultrasonic series of optics? I am considering picking up one if enough equipment can satisfy both to make it economically feasible. I do have a reef tank to support, afterall. TIA, Alan
