Photo critique, please

Except for the automobile, this shot could have been taken on silver nitrate circa 1930.

This is one of my favorite scenes from downtown Paris last May. Please tell me what you think of this photo from the composition to the technical aspects. (keeping in mind that jpg compression gave it a bit of loss)

Oh my god- nevermind- this compression software blows!! There are artifacts everywhere once I posted it. Ugh!
