I'm on this wagon. I've always pick up a couple 128mb - 256mb cards when they are dirt cheap. I always get a couple cards for far less than their equivalent (2x128/2x256) counterparts. I also agree on the versatility/safety factors of the smaller cards. I am currently only using a 4MP Canon G2 so the inexpensive 128/256mb cards are plenty of space IMO. I also think if you have endless memory and know it, you become a bit complacent and don’t think out your shots. You just fire away at will figuring it doesn’t matter....it’s not film. This leads to bad photography habits (and many snapshots)
. I might upgrade the camera someday soon. I would like a variety of lenses to pick from. I currently like using my 35mm and scanning the negatives/slides on a dedicated Minolta film/slide scanner. This is a nice poor man's digi :-D.
