Looks like a Bermuda Chub (Kyphosus sectatrix). It's found in the Gulf of Mexico, Caribbean, Western Atlantic and the East Coast of USA.

Where did you take the photo?

I have no idea what it is, but I swear Ive seen something almost identical to that very fish at the Monterey Bay Aquarium (I live kinda close to it, but yet I still dont get over there as often as Id like to!)... Good luck on it!

I could have swonr I had seen that fish before. If you feed them (when it was legal) They wont leave you alone

Definitely not! I use them for research and they are not tropical anyway.

johnp - Were you visiting Hawaii? What did you think of Haunama? (I will be there in November and trying to decide on where to go) Anyplace I shouldn't miss?
