One that destroys the woods, pollutes the atmosphere, and threatens to break all your limbs if you aren't smart on it I bet. ;)

Now... if you had a bicycle that you actually had to pedal, then we could talk!

Heh.

What kind of bike do you have?

It's a 97 honda XR400

and I bet it gets way way better mileage and polutes less than the car or suv that wade drives

I drove 70 miles on 1.2 gallons of gas

<-- Extremely Anti-SUCKS errr SUV.

Besides, I was just harassing you... I've been dirt biking before, and while it is very destructive, the paths recover if they are managed properly. As with anything else, if the resourse is managed well, it is not a problem.

(That said, it still doesn't help me enjoy a good workout mountain biking when I have to suck in exhaust on shared trails.)

We rode gravel roads, so there's no damage left behind

I do know what your talking about though, anytime your on dirt, or single track, dirt bikes will leave a path of destruction, and it's a 4 stroke, cleaner burning than most cars, 2 strokes are the ones that make fumes

I think the future of the sport is "dualsport" ie street legal dirtbikes, with semi pavement tires, on forest service roads, it's only a matter of time before all the true offroad trails are closed.

I just wish the kids could enjoy it with me, they are stuck in the jeep
