Hi,

I was wondering if anyone has come across an extreme close up lens for a Fuji Film S3000. Actually I GUESS any 55mm lense would work. I have a 1x a 2x and a 4x that works great (bought from ebay), but would like to get REALLLLY close in

The shot below is ABOUT as close an I can focus (and its not even as clear as I would like)

Thanks,

B. Snow

BTW- the diopters (+x) help you get closer, but introduce alot of abberations/alterations to the images. Especially those made form cheaper glass. I have used them to some mild effect on my Olympus, but in general they aren't a great addition.

You can usually stack them though.

How small is that mushroom you're picturing? How far is it away from the outside glass? Are you using a macromode? F2.8? I used the S3000 and got what I thought to be a pretty good close up shot.. granted not as much as reefsoul.. but he's 4000 better! :)
