The tank gets about 5-10 minutes of direct sunlight in the afternoon which I have found to be a great time to take pictures. That is assuming I can get my ugly reflection out of it. lol

okey. here's my favorite one I've taken so far!

I have lots more of this same coral. I've had it about a year, and it's tripled in size (it's high up in the tank and gets fed pretty well)

Great picture! I've got mine on the bottom of the tank since I just got it but I'm wondering how high it should go since I read in Borneman's "Aquarium Corals: Selection, Husbandry, and..." that they can be sensetive to metal halides. What kind of lighting do you have? Have you seen this "sensetivity"? I've got 2 250W MHs over my 65.

Also, what are you feeding?

Thanks in advance,
Mike

I have a 150 DE 14kk over a 20. As long as you acclimate it to the light it should do fine.

I feed my tank blender mush (home made) or cyclopeeze. Very rarely do I target feed after dark, so they don't usually get too much direct feed.

But since my tnak is mostly LPS I feed every other day or so.

http://bad-coffee.com/tankmar16.jpg is a whole tank pic. You'll see it in the upper right. It's actually higer up than in that pic.

Thanks for the info. My plan is to gradually move it 2/3 of the way to the top. I've got a nice perch all picked out for it.

Nice tank shot. I need to do one of those.

great pics. I have an older fujifilm S3000 and it takes great pics too! I've been thinking of upgrading to the newer mod. I know ppl all over that have cameras that are MUCH more expensive that can't get as good a picture as my $250 fujifilm. IMO... Fujifilm is a GREAT camera ...especially for the $$ they cost.

I have a Fujifilm S5100 (5500) that I've found very nice. I think I should have bought the S7000 that I was looking at during the same time judging by these pics.

Nice Pics!! Teach me how to use my camera LOL
