Happy Birthday Tank!

This month marks one full year since I filled my tank with water, and about a year and a half since I joined MR. 95% of the livestock in these photos was purchased from MR members and MR vendors. Thanks guys!! :hug:

It was a good tank! And then I upgraded - photos of the new tank and LS when I get a new SD card reader.

I want to point out that I was out of town for approximately 5 months out of this past year, and my tank never crashed. My roommate fed and topped off for me while I was away, and had Brett's number in case of emergencies. Otherwise, the tank was entirely left alone.

Lissa, you're tank is amazing. It's also a true testament to the success one can achieve by KEEPING THEIR HANDS OUT OF THE TANK and just letting it mature. Fantastic pictorial.

Oh! On RG. (I saw it right before my internet cut out). No, it does not make me have to pee a lot.

Russ - I will say that I do not advocate leaving the country for long stretches as an antidote to handsinthetankitis. I think I lost surprisingly little given the circumstance, but while I was away at different points, I definitely lost: 4 nice colonies of zoanthids (probably zoa eating crab or something falling over onto them), 1 good sized frag of sinularia, 1/2 of my green polyp stylophora (STN), my entire pipe organ (shaded), most of my red lobo (stung by a growing pearl bubble coral), green pavona (fell down), and all of my unsold frags - mostly zoanthids, a tiny frag of blue blastos, some clove polyps (frag rack tipped over), etc. etc. I try to keep my hands out of the tank as much as possible and make sure my tank is nice and stable before I leave it (otherwise it will crash), but it's nice to be able to put things back where they are supposed to be. :happysad:
