OMG!!!!!
I was there also, and even took some of the same pics...the Giant brain, the filefish, and whgat I think was a big Parrot fish...were you on a cruise????(b/c I was)

David I'm still here. Rookie no cruise. We spent the whole 7 days on Tobacco Caye. The Island is only 100 yards long by 50 yards and is all sand (crushed coral). (My 19 month old daughter had a blast). Its a lot more low key then some of the other Cayes.

Marki24 they are conch shells. This is a major staple of Belize and very common. I ate it 4 times while there. You see hundreds of them in the islands.
