Nice jeremy !!! see how the WB makes a difference. the focus is also much better.

a good tip for taking a shot and reducing the shake is to: hold your breathe as you get ready to take the shot, once you release the shutter (button) you can resume your breathing.

Jeremy, once you get the WB and focus in check you can then try the bracketing feature.

This feature helps by darkening or lightening a photo. Basically what it does is give the photo more or less exposure, which translates into a darker or lighter pic ( better color saturation, not to get technical)

setting your WB is easy just get a piece of white PVC and place it in your tank under your lighting and adjust the WB.
Then save that in custom and use it every time you take pics of your tank. it will give you correct color in your tank.

I will definitely try this trick when I finished my show tomorrow.

If time allow, I will start an improved WB thread so that more member can learn how to shoot low fluorescence corals under low light conditions.

keep in mind that the bracketing takes one over and one under exposed. and one with what the camera feels is the correct exposure. The correct exposure is determined by the camera mixing all the light sources in the scene and then giving you the best camera interpretation of good exposure. This may or may not be what you are looking for, in order to see the same pic over exposed and under exposed you bracket the scene. Then you can determine which image you like better.

practice with stationary objects first,as this will give you a better understanding. try the third image of the zoos.
