sps question about my lights

i was wondering if i was able to do sps with a t5? it is a 4 bulb t5 with 39w ATI bulbs.

if so what would be a good and nice looking start? also, if i am able to what kind is the best for these bulbs?

would a red planet be ok?

4 bulb is tough. 6 would be so much better. If you do start off with your 4 bulb, id go with any green sps. Well not any, but like a birds nest or something. Red sps corals can be difficult.

I have same tank. 4 bulb was not enough IMO. I have 6 bulb now and they are all thriving. Check out my tank thread in my sig to see if you want...

stay away from SPS till you get a little more expierenced with keeping a reef.try some acan maybe.if you want to do SPS do alot of reading.there are people in this hobby for many years that wont take on SPS.after 5 years of being in the hobby im finallly going to do it.

Agree. I started reefing in 2006. I got my first sps frags from pauliwalnuts not even a month ago...
