im in the process of making a sump for my tank.. its only a 55g. but i want to make something to add more water to my system and/ or for when i upgrade to a bigger tank. first question is and i always wanted to know this is... will a co2 reactor benefit my plants in my refuge? another question is how can i get more oxygen into my water? air stones? water falling into another chamber?

I would be carefull about running co2 in your sump for use by your macro alage, your more likely to screw up you PH tehn anything else.

As to your oxygen content, the water circulation between the sump and the tank, and a the use of protein skimmer, is usually sufficient. The only time I worry about Oxygen content is when the power goes out.

your method of thing must change for marine life :)
-Co2 is not good for your tank unless it's connected the a calcium reactor.
-Oxygen is transfer by mixing the water(skimmers), overflows and refugiums.
-no air stones in the tank unless you like salt creep everywhere.
