Can I add HOB skimmer after tank is set up?

I would like to use the Deltec MCE600 skimmer on my sump. I know bigger is better, but I have a space issue. My tank is sched to be del on Monday, but the LFS does not have the skimmer. As it is HOB, can it be added later from a plumbing point of view? From a cycling point of view?

Yes you can add it later. On a new setup there is nothing to skim. If you are going to wait a few weeks before adding live stock it will give you time before you need to add the skimmer.

Unless you're getting uncycled rock. Then you'll need the skimmer as the rock cycled. But yeah. you can add it anytime.

Agree with Brett. Nice HOT skimmer btw. But everything you've bought is top of the line. Can't wait to see it all up and running.

I am ashamed to say this, but in addition to meeting my space req. (thanks Jhale for finding it for me), I really like how this skimmer looks - a nice compact square

I hope my set up looks good. I am beginning to get a little frustrated with the whole ordering and delivery process. If it doesn't look good, I might cry
