chief wouldnt you want to have your refuge light on opposite of your light cycle.
When you turn off your lights your ph goes down at night if you offset it with the refuge light it keeps it stable..At least thats what i have learned.. Im no Biologist, so i very well can be wrong.. ewwww... Exactlly DO WHAT WORKS FOR YOU .....

My fuge is in my tank right now sorry But I meant get it on a light cycle like your tank is With timers not on the same light sched LOL

I would do exactly that lights off on the display lights on on the fuge.
