What were you planning for the tank? If you plan softy only 1 max-jet with the mod may work. If you want SPS you're looking at 2 or 3 and/or a wave-maker.
what Chris and Cali said is the best.
using the tunze magnets they are less intrusive.
If you are brave you could try the new vortech pumps.
I believe most of the bugs have been worked out of them.
So far they are the least intrusive powerhead you can get.
You have the perfect tank to hide the motor that stays outside the tank.
The tank is 48" long, 20" wide, 30" tall and 120 gallons.
I am researching the vortechs right now. The few threads that I have found are good, but they say the tunze has better lateral flow which may help get the water to the end of the tank with enough force to bounce back. Have to keep reading.
I don't think you can fit a wave2k in the "end" of your tank with the overflow box you have there. They are not the most reliable equipment either.
Get a Tunze wave box if you want a "wave" effect in your tank. I'll be a little concern with water flowing over the rim on your tank during the peak wave since the slots on your overflow didn't look very big.
