weird stuff growing in my tank.

I have something funny looking growing in my tank. I have and all fish tank I have one feather duster. its 90 gallons and all the water chemicals are all within paramaters. But I just noticed this small white stuff that is growing in my tank glass. Its on the glass its also on the filter tube and seems to be appearing on the under side of rocks. Its very tiny white and looks like a small umbrella being blown inside out in the wind. I didnt even notice it till I started to clean the tank. If anyone has any clue what it could be please let me know. I am new at this and have tried to look up pictures of what ever it could be. That is the best I could discribe it.

Sounds like mini feather dusters, take a pic of them and post it so we can give you a proper ID

Dusters? No.

as chief said they are mini feather dusters... (filter feeders) they are safe....
they are all over my rock work....

Do they move? React to light or water movement?

If not, could it be the houses of the pods? I think we need pics to further the investigation.
