Ro/di water ?

So I hooked up my ro/di system in the backyard and started pumping some water out . I got 10 gallons made and I tested the water with a Hannah primo. And it showed 1ppm tds. Is something wrong with my ro/di or is it ok that it's 1ppm tds?

How high is your tds out of your hose water?
Can you take pucs of the rodi setup?
Was this rodi used or new?

The first 10 at least should be dumped.

Brand new coralife pure flo 2 . It was 55ppm tds from the valve before filtration il take a pic tomorrow morning .

Yea I dumped the first 10 but its still giving me a 1ppm tds reading

Is the tds meter calibrated?

I believe so! I dipped it into the calibrating fluid .

When you dipped it, did it have the right reading? Dipping it doesn't calibrate it, you have to set the level yourself by turning the calibration screw. It's usually located on the back of the meter, in a small hole. It should be labeled

Errr I think it's self calibrating? I think I followed the right instructions that came with it haha. Il check when I go home. Gone fishin'

They should not need calibrating...besides what do you calibrate it against? I think you just need to break it in a bit longer.

Yea not self calibrating but calibrated from factory..

You calibrate tds with a NaCl solution. They are calibrated from the factory but don't stay that way. I honestly haven't done it to mine yet but it says it in the instructions
