scooter blennies food

I would like to get some scooter blennies for my 120g tank. Currently the only inhabitants are crabs snails and two clownfish which I feed flake food. There is a ton of LR in the tank (it basically fills the tank so maybe like 150lb). How can I tell if the LR is producing enough pods for the scooters to eat?

i have a scooter that eats frozen food andf sometimes flakes when you go and get ask to see it eat.as for the lr check at night about two hours after lights out use a flashlight they should be very active at that time.if your scooter eats prepared food then you wont have to worry mich about pod population until it explodes.my pods come put at night when my scooter is tucked in the sand for the night.

good reading mine is skinny but it has gained weight since i got him.but he does eat all frozen foods and my pod pop.is getting pretty big noticed the other day.

Yeah scooters are more likely to eat frozen than the Mandarin family - let's make sure we are aware of that - mandarins are expert care fish and only live copepods and amphipods and not frozen (with the exception of a few documented cases, breeders etc)

Scooters, on the other hand, will typically acclimate to frozen -

you can try to feed him cyclopeeze, etc. by digging a little hole in the sand, and squirting some food in there...this might help train him if he's not already.

I had one starve in my 16g after he ate all the pods- I didn't realize until too late he didn't like the frozen stuff too much...
