Hi

New to this site and have had a 72 gal reef tank running for 5 months.

So lost power up here in Stamford CT yesterday. Spent the afternoon hunting dowwn a battery operated air pump. Finally got one along with 4 gang splitter thing tubing and airstones.

Poer came back this morning and everything in the tank is fine and healthy! Frogspawn, star polyp and zoos seem to be very happy and all fish look active. All down to air pump

The only thing i did worry about was temp dropping 6-7 deg. Is there anything out there like a battery operated heater?

My place is all electric so have now way to heat water in poewr cut

welcome to MR ,
srry to hear that this is your 1st thread on here mbut it worked out well
you can try getting a usp for some power heads or an inverter with a marine batt ,but youy have to be home for the inverter .

as for heat ,you can plug it in the inverter ,all boilers ,and HVAC unit work with electric so youre not in that boat all alone

Good luck

Ronen
