My snails are growing their winter coats

Actually, I looked it up. Hydroids frequently grow on snail shells. It's called snail fur and it is harmless.

some are full length some are stole. My snails are really getting into the spirit of fashion week. I caught them sneaking out the door on the way to Bryant Park. One of my hermit crabs even changed into a fancy shell for the occasion
